Role Summary
To deliver an effective and competent level of administration within the Safeguarding Team, promoting good customer service and effective working relationships.
The post holder will be responsible for inputting and maintaining data on data systems, together with the associated correspondence, ensuring a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines and targets.
Main duties of the job
Principal duties and responsibilities:
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Inputting and maintaining data on data systems, together with the associated correspondence.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Collation and preparation of relevant documentation in support of service delivery.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Minute taking, calendar management and planning any administrative work as required.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The post holder will adhere at all times to the service guidance, and work within established policies, procedures, protocols and systems ensuring quality standards and performance as directed.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised, within defined policies and procedures to set timescales
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To ensure compliance with all statutory and mandatory training.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The post holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager.

Education / Training / Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
Knowledge / Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative environment and working with computerised data systems to Diploma level or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Awareness of equality and valuing diversity principles
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a health care environment
Skills / Abilities
Essential criteria
- Post holder must have a high level of keyboard skills and able to use Microsoft Office programmes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
