Job overview
Are you an experienced administrator with excellent administration and communication skills along with excellent customer service? We are looking for people to join our admin bank with the right values, skills and/or potential to join us. We need people with energy, expertise, enthusiasm to help us provide the very best possible specialist NHS care. This involves helping us achieve our strategy to improve the quality of life for the communities we serve through People, Prevention and Partnerships.
This is an interesting and varied position that would suit an experienced secretary/administrator who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role. The post holder will be motivated and flexible, be able to work well within a team and able to organise their own workload. Good time management skills and being able to prioritise tasks is essential as is having good attention to detail.
You will need to demonstrate a professional and confident telephone manner, and be able to liaise effectively with other teams and agencies and members of the public. You will also need to have the ability to deal sensitively with people who may be distressed.
This is a busy position and the successful candidate will provide excellent administration and secretarial support to our clinical team.
Main duties of the job
The admin bank role is to provide a comprehensive range of administrative services. To liaise with other departments and services and to respond effectively to enquiries from the general public, service users, referrers and other agencies.
Tasks include taking telephone enquiries from service users, diary management; arranging appointments; correspondence; email management; spreadsheet management; minute taking, working alongside and providing admin support to the clinical team.
A good working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is essential. Knowledge of Carenotes is desirable, but full training will be given.

- NVQ 3 or equivalent
- RSA 3 or equivalent experience and evidence of further practical experience or equivalent
- Good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above or equivalent
Knowledge/Experience

- Proven experience of a range of secretarial procedures
- Experience of producing documents to a high standard of presentation with good accuracy
- Experience of maintaining office systems
