Job overview
We are seeking to recruit an experienced administrator to work into our well-established Clinical health Psychology department based at Princess Royal Hospital.
You will be joining a small, friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team of clinicians and working along side other services that also use the department both from within Clinical health and outside.
You will bring with you excellent organisational, communication and IT skills. Being a team player and being able to multi-task is also an advantage.
Our core business in Clinical Health Psychology involves assessment, followed by therapy appointments, collection of pre and post outcome measures and other data for reporting.
Main duties of the job
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Opening and locking up and ensuring the department is ready to receive clients
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Planning appointments and managing diaries for clinicians
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Managing referrals/ use of care notes
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Dealing with telephone calls from patients and referrers/ booking appointments
General office management/ cover for Band 4

We provide a variety of Psychology services to people in Sussex with a range of physical health conditions from the Psychology Department based at Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath, West Sussex. There is on site parking and easy travel links via bus or train.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be a successful Team administrator in our team you will be:
-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý An experienced administrator
-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Have effective interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with the client groups as well as a range of professionals.
-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Have experience of working within a mental health setting
It would also be advantageous if you are:
-Familiar with the use of Carenotes
This role involves some office cover and support to clinicians working from this base so, visibility is key and it requires attendance in the department.
15 hours over 2 days on Tuesday and Wednesday are essential.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 or equivalent
- RSA 3 or equivalent experience and evidence of further practical experience or equivalent
- Good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above or equivalent
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
