The People and Organisational Development Directorate has exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations (ER) Case Investigator to join us Bank zero hours per week until June 2025 as we go through a period of cultural change, with increased activity levels to support ER case investigation.

Working within our People and Organisation Development directorate, with the support of a Human Resources Business Partner you will support our ER investigation process.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder is responsible for undertaking commissioned employment investigations which are principally as a result of, but not limited to, conduct, performance, right to work, fraud, and grievance matters.

As the investigating officer, the post-holder will be responsible for all parts of the investigation from receipt of the allegation or concern, through to producing an investigation report for the Commissioning Manager and presenting this at any Hearings or Employment Tribunals as required.

The aim is to ensure that all processes are undertaken in a way that supports a fair and just culture and in line with Trust policy.

Person specification

Essential

Essential criteria
  • Associate Level CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and development)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience across a broad range of HR work including HR policy development and implementation, as well as HR casework.
  • Experience of writing and presenting investigation reports.
  • Ability to set own priorities, meet tight deadlines and work independently.
