Job overview

Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT),Royal United Hospitals (RUH), Bath, and Great Western Hospitals (GWH) are each seeking 2 x Data Quality Analysts to support their significant and exciting journey towards implementing and sharing an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across the Acute Health Alliance constituent Trusts i.e., Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT) and Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), Swindon and Royal United Bath Hospital (RUH).

The Data Quality Analysts will be correcting and monitoring patient demographics and encounter level detail to support migrating data into the new version of Oracle Millennium.听 It is a crucial role to support the move from our current systems today to our new Shared EPR.

They will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms, systems and departments, towards driving improvements in patient care and service delivery.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to embed a culture of high data quality standards, supporting the successful implementation of digital tools and patient management systems.

They will help ensure that data quality metrics are integrated into the broader project reporting mechanisms to track the impact of data quality on patient pathway management and operational performance.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Good understanding of data quality working procedures and practices
  • One years鈥 relevant experience in resolving data quality issues
  • Knowledge of an EPR and other NHS healthcare applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to give clear and consistent advice on data quality issues
  • Ability to analyse and investigate non-routine data issues
  • Ability to work with close attention to detail in own work and that of others
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge and understanding of processes involved in using systems to record inpatient and outpatient data
  • Knowledge of data quality drivers
