Job overview
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Physiotherapist with a broad range of skills. The successful candidate will have significant proven post-graduate specialist level clinical competencies, and able to manage varied and complex cases that could present amongst the Prison population.听 You will have excellent organisational skills and an ability to problem solve multiple issues within a fast-paced custodial context.
Main duties of the job
You must have a degree in Physiotherapy, active HCPC registration and evidence of robust and consistent CPD.
听
You will be responsible for:
搂听 Provision of physiotherapy assessments and treatments; individualised therapeutic treatment programmes for a specialised caseload, working in the prison and potentially in community resettlement sites.听
搂听 Working closely and communicating with the individual, prison officers and potentially family/ 鈥榗arers鈥 and with multidisciplinary and multiagency teams.
搂听 Training and supervising health service staff but also prison officers and members of the multidisciplinary and multiagency team who support 鈥榩hysiotherapy programmes鈥.
搂听 You may work as a lone practitioner with support from security procedures and prison staff, peer group and team leader.
听
搂听 Working to evidence-based principles, current best practice, specialist skills and clinical reasoning
听
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Wrlsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.听
