Job overview
Flintshire and Wrexham (East) CAMHS are seeking a Family Therapist to join our service.听 You will have a main base and work into our other team, as needed, alongside our other Family Therapists. 听
This is a full-time, permanent post.听 Relocation packages are available.
You will deliver high quality family therapy to children, young people and families experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties, alongside a multidisciplinary team.听 We are seeking a dynamic Family Therapist to become involved in our systemic and family therapy offer across East CAMHS. Flintshire and Wrexham CAMHS is a 0-18 service to children, young people and families.
We provide an extensive offer to our local community including early intervention and prevention services, unscheduled care, a 0-7 Early Years service and a broad range of NICE recommended and other evidence based interventions. Significant joint working takes place with multi-agency partners with whom we have very good relationships.
Regular in-service training takes place, alongside weekly peer case discussions, in addition to multidisciplinary team meetings and team away days.听 Regular supervision will be provided by our Senior Family Therapist. There is a network of Family Therapists across North Wales CAMHS which the successful candidate will be involved with.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will offer family therapy, clinical supervision and consultation. They will be involved in training and will be a member of our multidisciplinary team to support our systemic thinking and formulations.听 Involvement in developing and maintaining clinical skills within the wider team and service development will form part of this role
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Relevant degree
- A recognised post graduate Family Therapy or equivalent qualification at level of Masters or higher academic award
- A professional qualification in a relevant regulated profession eligible under the Mental Health Measure (Wales) 2010 e.g. nursing, social work, clinical psychology
- UKCP registration as a family/systemic Psychotherapist
- Highly developed knowledge of systemic theory and practice
- Knowledge of research design and methodology as practised within the field of family therapy
- Knowledge of legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to this client group i.e. children
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the UKCP/AFT
Desirable criteria
- Additional relevant academic and/or accredited therapeutic qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working as a registered family/systemic psychotherapist
- Experience of implementing evidence based family interventions
- Experience in relevant regulated profession e.g. nursing, social work or clinical psychology
- Experience of taking full clinical responsibility for clients鈥 care, with experience of co-ordinating care within the context of multi-disciplinary care-planning
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working directly with children and young people
- Direct experience of Care Coordination under the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision
