Employee Relations Officer

Job overview
We are looking to appoint an Employee Relations Officer on a permanent basis to start in April 2025.
As part of our dedicated employee relations team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting managers across the Trust with effective support and advice with a clear focus on managing sickness absence ensuring our policies are effectively and compassionately implemented.
A full, current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle fit and insured for business use are required for this post. Reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled staff in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
· Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýManage and monitor employee sickness absence, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
· Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýTo support managers in the provision of timely support / intervention to colleagues who commence a period of short term or long-term sickness absence management.
· Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýProvide professional advice and support to managers on matters relating to, sickness absence including supporting at any associated sickness review meetings and/or support in the preparation of the associated paperwork.
· Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýSupport managers in their awareness of Health and Wellbeing support and liaise with support services such as occupational health services as necessary.
· Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýAdvise on best practices and legal requirements related to sickness absence.

Successful post holders will be experienced in a HR setting, possess a Level 3 HR qualification, have a willingness to undertake training to role, be self-motivated, resilient and passionate about making a difference and supporting managers and employees alike.

- • Able to demonstrate relevant competencies acquired through ongoing experience within a HR or employee relations setting.
- • Experience of advising and supporting managers
- • Experience of working with computer databases/systems/reports

- • Experience of working in a Health Service or Public Sector environment
