NUH was among the leaders nationwide delivering a completely radiology led day case ambulatory lung biopsy service, offering direct to home discharge from CT in over 95% of lung biopsies.
Main duties of the job
There are currentl²âÌý7ÌýWTE radiologists with a specialist interest in thoracic imaging who provide the primary input to the thoracic service: five Cardiothoracic Radiologists, one diagnostic Thoracic Radiologist with a sub-speciality Head & Neck interest and one Interventional Oncoradiologist primarily involved in lung cancer diagnosis and intervention.
The post will have a commitment to support a range of diagnostic services such as CT, MRI, and plain film reporting and ultrasound examinations.
In addition to the main oncological based MDTs, we support a large number of clinico-radiological meetings involving clinicians, radiologists and advanced practitioners.
The post holder will be expected to participate in under-graduate and post-graduate teaching and training and there will be opportunities for research working with the Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre at the University of Nottingham.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Candidates must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or an equivalent qualification and must be registered with the GMC (ideally on the Specialist Register).
