Would you like to make a difference and use your administration and secretarial skills to support the provision of mental health services in the community?

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our busy Assessment & Treatment Service, based at Chapel Street Clinic, Chichester. As well as Chichester, our services cover care in the community for Bognor, Midhurst and the surrounding areas.

You will work as part of a team, ensuring an efficient and confidential service. The role provides plenty of variety in a fast-paced environment, where your prioritising skills will be highly valued.

Evidence of a good general education is required, together with excellent organisational and IT skills. Flexibility, the ability to work on your own initiative and effective communication skills are all essential for this rewarding role.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The role supports one of our psychiatrists and the wider clinical team with administrative and secretarial duties, including:

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý Typing and sending clinic letters

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý Booking appointments and diary management

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý Telephone calls to and from service users, carers, staff

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý Minuting meetings on an ad hoc basis (training will be provided)

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý Providing reception and switchboard cover

You will require:

·     

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý   GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý   RSA III/OCR equivalent

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý   Fast and accurate typing skills

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý   An eye for detail

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý   Previous secretarial/administration experience

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý   Knowledge of software programmes/IT systems, ideally Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook

·ÌýÌýÌýÌý   The ability to remain calm under pressure

We are a busy, friendly and caring administration team, based at Chapel Street Clinic in the heart of Chichester's city centre. We provide secretarial and administrative support to a variety of clinical staff across the patch. The administration team consists of telephonists, receptionists, secretaries and senior administrative staff.

As part of our commitment to quality and professionalism, the Trust ensures that all new staff undertake a thorough induction programme. Additional training will be provided at local level and full support is always available as part of ongoing growth and development.

Swydd-ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

You will require excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with service users and the multi-disciplinary team, which consists of Consultant Psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, managers, mental health practitioners and support workers.

This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
